Our palletizer packs products of one kind onto a pallet, for example cool boxes, fish boxes, or simply any lightweight plastic boxes.
The robot is a 6-axis industrial robot equipped with a vacuum gripper. The low pressure required by the vacuum cups is produced by air pressure based ejectors.
The conveyors has a sensor, which is used to determine when a product can be picked. Robot picks the product and packs it into a pallet. The robot is on the end of a 3-position linear travelling axis in order to make the robot capable of reaching even higher pallets.
When the pallet has been fully packed, robot starts packing another pallet. User interface notifies the user that the pallet is ready, after which the user replaces the pallet with an empty pallet and then notifies the user interface about it. A sensor is used for checking if a pallet is in place.
The system has been made to easy to transport from one place to another. Also, multiple product programs can be saved in the robot's memory. Finally, the robot has been equipped with impact limiter, thus it does not require any safety fences around itself. The linear travelling axis has been equipped with safety sensors, which activation halts the movement before any harm is done.
